The USMLE (United States Medical Licensing Examination) has been recognized by TTU as a benchmark for a doctor’s quality and a prerequisite for practicing in the U.S. For that reason, the TTU School of Medicine has trained students to participate in USMLE Step 1 and 2 under the guidance of experienced professors who graduated from the U.S. and other countries.
Many TTU graduates have achieved success in the USMLE steps, including Step 1, Step 2 CK (Clinical Knowledge), and CS (Clinical Skills). St. Mary’s Medical Center, one of the leading medical centers in the U.S., has become an annual internship destination for Tan Tao University (TTU) medical students since 2016. Inspired by his first time setting foot in the U.S., Dr. Tran Trong Nhan (a TTU Medical graduate who passed Step 3 of the USMLE) chose to intern in Hawaii.
During the 2021 internship, Dr. Nhan’s excellence and courage attracted the attention and high evaluation of doctors in Hawaii. Dr. Nhan excellently completed all internship tasks at clinics, medical centers, and hospitals. Thus, Dr. Nhan has become a role model for all TTU Medical students on the journey to becoming a resident physician.
