On the afternoon of August 28, 2026, Tan Tao University (TTU) solemnly held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Universitas Muhammadiyah Pringsewu (UMPRI), Indonesia. The event marked a new milestone in international cooperation between the two institutions, expanding opportunities for academic exchange, scientific research, and student and faculty exchange.
Strengthening International Educational Cooperation and Friendship
The signing ceremony was the result of a process of discussion, mutual exploration, and agreement on educational development orientations between Tan Tao University and Universitas Muhammadiyah Pringsewu (UMPRI), one of Indonesia’s reputable higher education institutions. The cooperation focuses on key areas including education and training, scientific research, academic exchange, the co-organization of international conferences and seminars, and the promotion of student and faculty exchange programs between the two countries.

Attending the ceremony, Universitas Muhammadiyah Pringsewu (UMPRI), Indonesia was represented by a high-level delegation led by Ns. Arena Lestari, Ph.D., Rector of UMPRI. The delegation included Ns. Gunawan Irianto, Ph.D. – Vice Rector I; Ns. Asri Rahmawati, M.Kes. – Vice Rector II; Afrizal, M.HI. – Vice Rector III; Dr. Sofwan Adi Putra – Vice Rector IV; Ns. Tiara, MNS – Head of the International Cooperation Office; and other members of the delegation.
Representing Tan Tao University (TTU) were Dr. Ngo Quang Vinh – Vice Rector and Editor-in-Chief of the TTU Journal of Science; Dr. Nguyen Thanh Dien – Head of the Office of Scientific Research and International Cooperation; Dr. Cao Tien Dung – Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology; Dr. Nguyen Le Vien – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; Dr. Dang Thanh Nhon – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Languages; together with representatives from TTU’s faculties, departments, offices, and affiliated units.
Exploring TTU’s International-Standard Facilities and Training System
Prior to the official signing ceremony, the UMPRI delegation took a tour of Tan Tao University’s facilities and educational environment. The delegation visited the university’s laboratory facilities, Anatomy Room, simulation room (Skills Lab), and Medical Library – key facilities supporting the training of students in the Health Sciences at TTU.



In particular, the UMPRI delegation also visited Tan Tao University Medical School Hospital, a large-scale and modern clinical training facility for students of TTU’s Faculty of Medicine. At the hospital, representatives of the Board of Directors provided an overview of its scale, professional capacity, and the model integrating theoretical education with practical clinical training. The UMPRI delegation expressed their strong impression of TTU’s systematic investment in modern facilities and its orientation toward internationally integrated education.


Signing the Cooperation Agreement and Exchanging Commemorative Gifts
In a formal and friendly atmosphere, representatives of both institutions delivered remarks highlighting the significance of the cooperation agreement. Dr. Ngo Quang Vinh and Ns. Arena Lestari, Ph.D. conducted the signing ceremony for the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), officially laying the foundation for broader joint projects in the future.

On the occasion of the visit and working session, Tan Tao University presented the UMPRI delegation with meaningful commemorative gifts as a sincere expression of appreciation for their trust and goodwill in building a partnership. In return, the Universitas Muhammadiyah Pringsewu delegation also presented commemorative gifts to TTU, demonstrating their appreciation and commitment to fostering a strong and lasting relationship between the two educational institutions.
The signing ceremony between Tan Tao University and Universitas Muhammadiyah Pringsewu concluded successfully, contributing to the enhancement of educational quality, strengthening TTU’s reputation, and gradually advancing the university’s international presence.
