Educational Program Objectives
The School of Humanities and Liberal Arts at Tan Tao University was established in 2022 with the objective of producing individuals of integrity, talent, and versatility in various fields through the Liberal Arts Education model. This model not only imparts specialized knowledge but also focuses on the development of character and life skills for students. It aims to cultivate well-rounded individuals with the ability to think critically, be independent, ethically upright, possess lifelong learning skills, and succeed (find happiness) in life. Additionally, it aims to instill a sense of responsibility towards the community and the capacity for international integration. Therefore, the faculty is dedicated to providing comprehensive development of the Body (physical fitness), Mind (intellect), and Soul (spirit) for students throughout their journey at TTU.
The content of the Foundation Orientation Education Program consists of three parts:
(1) Knowledge Training Program, which imparts knowledge from various subjects in the Foundation Orientation Education Program.
(2) Physical Training Program providing students with the opportunity to experience various physical activities such as swimming, martial arts, golf, table tennis, football, badminton, and more.
(3) Emotional and spiritual development activities that offer students experiences with art forms such as music, dance, painting, etc., at the Liberal Art Area. These activities awaken aesthetic sensibilities within the students’ souls.
Infrastructure:
During the academic year 2022-2023, the School of Humanities and Liberal Arts has been steadily enhancing its infrastructure to improve the student experience during physical activities and artistic pursuits. Areas like the table tennis training ground and the athletics field provide students with spaces for physical training and interaction. Furthermore, the Liberal Art Area is equipped with various musical instruments such as guitars, organs, pianicas, flutes, and more, along with art materials and exhibition stands. Here, students can freely express themselves and explore the latent artistic and musical aspects of their identities.
