
TTU Students Explore Post-Quantum Cryptography at International Conference on “Mathematics and Cryptography”
Looking back at key academic highlights, IT students Le Chi Tam and Ho Nguyen Kim Long represented TTU at the International Scientific Conference on “Mathematics and Cryptography,” held on July 02–03, 2026, at University of Science, VNU-HCM.
During the conference, the students engaged with 10 cutting-edge research presentations delivered by renowned keynote speakers and researchers from Vietnam, Australia, Japan, and Singapore. The program highlighted several pivotal frontiers in modern cryptography and applied mathematics:
- Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC): Isogeny-based cryptography, Unbalanced Oil and Vinegar (UOV) signature schemes in multivariate public-key cryptography, and quantum algorithms for the extended dihedral coset problem.
- Cybersecurity & Applied Computing: SNARK proofs for sub-sequence problems, cryptography from group actions, as well as cloud computing security and verifiability.
- Algebraic Geometry & Coding Theory: Constacyclic codes over finite fields, ciphertext capacity expansion (Anamorphism), Noether normalization in iterated skew polynomial rings, and Newton polygons of homogenized symmetric polynomials.
Participating in premier international scientific forums enables TTU IT students to sharpen their mathematical rigor, stay ahead of frontier security trends, and build a strong foundation for future advanced research pursuits.
IT student joins the Summer School in Mathematical Physics 2026 with leading international professors
Le Chi Tam, an IT student from TTU, recently completed an intensive training program at the Summer School in Mathematical Physics 2026, co-organized by the Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM) in Ho Chi Minh City.
The program brought together world-class mathematicians from MIT, Penn State University (USA), CNRS, ENS Lyon (France), and the Beijing Institute of Technology (China). Conducted entirely in English through four lecture series and interactive discussion sessions, Tam mastered foundational theoretical tools and modern methodologies in Mathematical Physics—focusing on Partial Differential Equations (PDEs), Geometry, and Probability Theory. This advanced coursework serves as vital academic preparation ahead of the International Congress on Mathematical Physics (ICMP 2027).

Faculty and students represent TTU at the IACR-VIASM Summer School on Cryptography 2026
Continuing the month’s academic highlights, lecturer Le Quoc Huy alongside IT students Le Chi Tam and Ho Nguyen Kim Long represented TTU at the IACR-VIASM Summer School on Cryptography 2026, held from August 22–28 at the Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM, Hanoi).
Co-organized by the International Association for Cryptologic Research (IACR) and VIASM, the program featured world-renowned professors from McGill University (Canada), Sorbonne University (LIP6), École Polytechnique, Télécom Paris (France), and DESILO (South Korea).
Through intensive lectures and seminars, the TTU delegation delved into advanced cryptographic theory—the critical intersection of pure mathematics and computer science. The experience significantly sharpened their algorithmic thinking and cybersecurity capabilities, aligning their research approach with global standards in both theoretical and applied cryptography.
