On the afternoon of October 22, 2026, in Ho Chi Minh City, Tan Tao University (TTU) and the Korean Language Center in Ho Chi Minh City, under South Korea’s Ministry of Education, held a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement. The event opens up opportunities for TTU staff, faculty members, and students to access Korean language and culture education free of charge, while also aiming to expand learning opportunities for students and local residents in Tay Ninh Province.

Expanding Korean Language Learning Opportunities for Students and the Community
The ceremony was attended by Mr. An Heechul, Director of the Korean Language Education Center in Ho Chi Minh City, an institution under South Korea’s Ministry of Education. Representing Tan Tao University were Dr. Ngo Quang Vinh, Vice President and Editor-in-Chief of the Tan Tao University Journal of Science, and Dr. To Minh Tung, Head of the Korean Language Department.
Under the agreement, the two institutions plan to launch a free Korean language class in January 2027, with both in-person and online learning formats. The program will enable TTU students to proactively develop their foreign language skills alongside their formal academic studies, while providing greater opportunities to explore the Korean language and culture.

This marks a meaningful first step toward expanding access to foreign language learning and enhancing the community’s capacity for international integration. It also helps bring Korean language and culture closer to local residents. Beyond language education, the two institutions aim to expand their cooperation through educational programs, academic exchanges, and cultural engagement in the coming years.
Connecting Education and Strengthening Vietnam–Korea Cultural Exchange
With a commitment to international cooperation that addresses practical needs, Tan Tao University strives to create meaningful learning opportunities for both students and the local community. Its partnership with the Korean Language Center in Ho Chi Minh City represents a concrete step toward this goal, while opening up prospects for broader collaboration in the future.
In addition to language education, the two institutions have agreed to explore expanded cooperation in academic exchange, cultural exchange, and specialized educational projects. These directions provide a foundation for both institutions to build on their respective strengths, diversify collaborative activities, and create greater value for learners.
Through this agreement, TTU hopes to help build a lasting bridge for cultural exchange between Vietnam and South Korea, while extending learning opportunities beyond the university and bringing them closer to the community in Tay Ninh Province.
