On the morning of August 9, 2026, Tan Tao University (TTU) solemnly held its 2026 Graduation Ceremony under the theme “16 Years of Creating Knowledge – Moving Forward with Confidence,” honoring the new doctors and graduates and marking the completion of an important chapter in their academic journey before they embark on a new professional path.
This year, Tan Tao University awarded graduation degrees to new doctors and graduates from the Schools of Medicine, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Languages, Economics, and Business Administration. Among the graduates in 2026, 23 students graduated with Excellent honors and 17 with Very Good honors. Beyond their academic achievements, TTU students continued to demonstrate their research capabilities and spirit of innovation through projects presented at prestigious academic conferences and competitions both nationally and internationally. Notable achievements include First Prize at the 5th Long An Provincial Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition in 2024 by a team of students from the School of Economics and Business Administration, and a Top 3 finish at the Vietnam Rust Hackathon 2024 by Computer Science students with the project “Applying ezkl in Deep Learning.” Most of the 2026 graduates completed internships at reputable hospitals, companies, and partner organizations, helping them strengthen their professional expertise, practical skills, and ability to adapt to the working environment. In particular, TTU medical students participated in clinical internship programs in the United States, with one student successfully passing USMLE Step 2 – one of the important examinations within the medical competency assessment and licensing system in the United States. These achievements reaffirm TTU’s commitment to an educational model that integrates academic knowledge with research, practical training, and international exposure.
The ceremony was honored by the presence of leaders of Tay Ninh Province and representatives from various departments and agencies; Mr. Michael W. Michalak – Member of the TTU Board of Trustees, former U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam from 2007 to 2011, and Vice Chairman of the U.S.-ASEAN Business Council; international professors and experts; representatives from educational institutions, hospitals, and partner organizations. Representing Tan Tao University were representatives of the University Council, Founding Council, and Board of Management, including Dr. Nguyen Mai Lam – President; Prof. Dr. Thach Nguyen – Vice President and Dean of the School of Medicine; and Dr. Ngo Quang Vinh – Vice President, together with numerous parents and students attending the ceremony.
In his remarks, Mr. Michael W. Michalak extended his heartfelt congratulations to the graduates. He highly appreciated the University’s efforts in building a high-quality educational environment through an educational model closely connected with research and practical training, English-medium instruction, and numerous opportunities for students to participate in international conferences and academic programs. Particularly in the field of Medicine, Tan Tao University places strong emphasis on medical ethics, professional competence, and clinical practice, helping students prepare to integrate and develop in a global environment.
At the ceremony, the TTU President’s Honor Award was presented to Huynh Van Dong, a graduate in Computer Science. Graduating with Excellent honors, Dong was a co-author of a scientific paper published in the VNU Journal of Science: Computer Science and Communication Engineering. He also achieved Top 3 at the Vietnam Rust Hackathon 2024 and Top 3 at the Ancient8 Builder Jam 2025, while actively participating in University activities.
In particular, in 2026, Tan Tao University, together with Tan Tao Group, officially announced and presented the Dang Van Duoc Scholarship for the first time. Established to continue the late Mr. Dang Van Duoc’s aspiration to nurture talent and promote a spirit of learning, the scholarship marks a meaningful milestone in supporting students with outstanding academic achievements, determination to overcome financial difficulties, filial responsibility, and a strong sense of responsibility toward the community. Graduate Nguyen Hoai Duy, who graduated with Excellent honors, became the first student to receive the scholarship. During his studies, Duy won Third Prize at the Student Scientific Research Conference and achieved Top 3 at the Vietnam Rust Hackathon 2024.
In addition, Prof. Peter Albert Singer presented the Peter Singer’s Award, valued at USD 1,000, to students Nguyen Kim Phu and Doan Khanh Huyen, in recognition of and encouragement for their dedication to academic achievement and research.
Representing the recipients of the 2026 TTU President’s Honor Award, graduate Huynh Van Dong shared: “Starting out as a student from a rural school with a once-unfulfilled dream of attending university, TTU opened a second door for me. The support and guidance of my lecturers throughout the past four years helped me grow, become more confident, and gradually turn my dream into reality.”
During the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Thach Nguyen, together with international professors, shared messages emphasizing professional responsibility, scientific research, and lifelong learning. Prof. Dr. Thach Nguyen stated: “Today’s achievements are not only the result of the students’ efforts, but also the culmination of support from society, guidance from the University Council, and above all, the love of their families. A graduation diploma is not the end, but a doorway through which graduates officially step into life.”
For the new doctors, the Physician’s Oath was recited in a solemn atmosphere before they officially received their graduation degrees. This sacred ceremony marks the beginning of their journey to serve patients with medical ethics, responsibility, and compassion.
The 2026 Graduation Ceremony brought a memorable academic journey to a close and opened a new chapter for the new doctors and graduates of Tan Tao University. With knowledge, confidence, and a strong desire to contribute, TTU’s graduates will continue to contribute to the community and carry forward the positive values of the University.
