One of the highlights was the High-Tech Agriculture Project, developed through TTU’s collaboration with Yonam College (South Korea) and receiving professional support from the TTU Entrepreneurship Center (GreenSpark Innovation).

A key feature of the model is the integration of controlled cultivation processes with technology applied at each stage of plant growth. Managing nutrients and microclimatic conditions inside greenhouses enables more proactive crop care, creates suitable growing environments, and aims to improve produce quality and consistency. Production practices aligned with VietGAP standards also help strengthen quality control throughout the cultivation process.

Notably, the Hami Terra, VA74, and De Mat melon varieties were introduced, each with distinctive quality and sweetness characteristics. Among them, De Mat melons have a Brix sweetness level ranging from 14% to over 17%. In addition to melons, cherry tomatoes, bell peppers, and strawberries grown on elevated growing systems demonstrated the diversity of crops that can be cultivated, opening up opportunities to develop higher-value agricultural products through technology-driven farming models.

Through this project, TTU aims to connect international expertise with research and practical applications in agriculture. It also provides an opportunity to showcase high-tech cultivation solutions, exchange knowledge, and explore potential collaborations in modern agricultural development that meet local needs.

Exploring Science, Discovering Academic Programs, and Learning About Admissions Opportunities at TTU

Beyond attracting the attention of delegates and experts, TTU’s exhibition space welcomed large numbers of high school students, parents, and young children who came to explore and participate in hands-on activities. Designed to be accessible and engaging, these activities helped visitors discover practical applications of science while learning more about the University’s academic fields.

The experiential area hosted by the Faculty of Medicine particularly sparked the curiosity of younger visitors. The children enthusiastically tried using stethoscopes, observed anatomical models, and took their first steps toward exploring activities associated with the medical profession. Meanwhile, high-tech agricultural products from the Faculty of Biotechnology, including melons, bell peppers, and cherry tomatoes, helped them discover how science and technology are applied in agricultural production and everyday life.

Alongside these hands-on activities, TTU’s admissions counseling area attracted considerable interest from students and parents. Many students proactively sought information about academic programs, admission methods, the learning environment, and career pathways. Parents, meanwhile, were particularly interested in scholarship policies, tuition assistance, and educational opportunities available to local students. Direct conversations at the exhibition booths provided families with additional information to help them consider academic programs and choose pathways suited to students’ abilities, interests, and future aspirations.

Notably, the message “Pursue Higher Education Right Here in Your Home Province” resonated with many families. Studying locally offers students another way to access higher education, participate in experiential learning activities, and prepare for their future careers without necessarily having to leave their hometown.
