In December 2024, 9th cohort medical students from the School of Medicine at Tan Tao University participated in a specialized lecture combined with hands-on practice as part of the Obstetrics 1 program. The session was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Vu Thi Kim Chi, Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, aiming to enhance clinical skills for medical students.
This activity not only reinforced students’ theoretical knowledge of obstetrics but also provided opportunities to practice clinical skills using medical models under close supervision and professional support from lecturers. Each step of the practice was carefully monitored to ensure quality and accuracy. Through this program, students not only improved their technical skills but also developed their analytical and flexible problem-solving abilities, preparing them to confidently enter the professional medical environment and meet the demands of their future careers.
Participating in the Simpson Strong-Tie Vietnam Office Tour 2024
On December 6, 2024, students from the School of Information Technology at Tan Tao University participated in the “Simpson Strong-Tie Vietnam Office Tour 2024” at the Simpson Strong-Tie headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City. The visit aimed to provide students with opportunities to explore and understand the innovative and dynamic work environment in the field of structural solutions and construction materials.
During the program, students toured the company’s modern office and attended a technical workshop. Experts shared insights into technological applications in construction design, particularly focusing on software and tools for structural design. This visit not only offered students a practical view of the working environment at a leading company in the construction industry but also enhanced their understanding of new technological trends and career development opportunities in the rapidly evolving construction sector.

On December 13, 2024, the School of Information Technology at Tan Tao University and Simpson Strong-Tie Vietnam Co., Ltd. held a signing ceremony for their collaboration agreement, aimed at fostering training, research, and student support in the field of Information Technology.
This cooperation agreement marks a significant milestone in strengthening the connection between education and business, creating opportunities for students to access real-world working environments and develop their skills. The partnership covers various areas, including providing internship opportunities for students in the company’s specialized departments, offering scholarships for outstanding students, and supporting infrastructure development for the faculty. TTU Students win Third Prize at the “Innovation Startup – Shaping the Future” Competition
At the 2nd “Innovation Startup – Shaping the Future” Competition 2024, held as part of the Techfest Long An 2024, the project “BioFeed Tan Tao – A Breakthrough in Sustainable Agriculture” by a team of students from the School of Economics and Business Administration, Tan Tao University, proudly secured the Third Prize in the final round.
Following their victory at the 5th Long An Innovation Startup Competition 2024, the initial idea evolved into a practical project. The project applies a circular economy model by utilizing black soldier fly larvae (BSFL) to process organic waste and produce high-quality animal feed.
This solution not only reduces environmental pollution but also promotes sustainable development in the agricultural sector. The achievement reflects the students’ dedication and serious investment, delivering highly practical solutions that contribute positively to the community and the economy.
Workshop “Introduction to developing Web3 Apps”
On the afternoon of December 18, 2024, the School of Information Technology successfully organized the “Introduction to Developing Web3 Apps” Workshop. This significant event provided students with in-depth and practical insights into the process of developing decentralized applications on the Ancient8 Chain platform while offering opportunities to explore and apply blockchain technology in real-world scenarios.
During the workshop, students received detailed guidance and learned about the exceptional benefits of the Ancient8 ecosystem, which provides tools to optimize development processes and enhance user experiences. In addition to academic content, the workshop also introduced the Ancient8 Builder Jam – a Web3 Hackathon competition, offering students a unique opportunity to transform technological ideas into practical blockchain projects, with total prizes of up to $400,000 USD.
ITA “For the Future” Scholarship Award Ceremony
The ITA “For the Future” Scholarship Award Ceremony recently took place in a solemn atmosphere, marking a significant milestone in the mission of supporting and developing high-quality human resources by the ITA Scholarship Fund.
This year’s ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Trong Dung, Member of the Fund Management Council, and representatives from Tan Tao University, including Dr. Nguyen Mai Lam, Acting Provost, along with faculty and department leaders. Notably, the outstanding students receiving the scholarships expressed their honor and heartfelt gratitude for the invaluable support provided by the ITA Fund.
This year, the Fund awarded scholarships covering 50% to 75% of tuition fees, along with additional financial support, enabling students to confidently pursue their academic journeys. The ceremony concluded in a warm and inspiring atmosphere, promising new opportunities and further motivation for students in their paths of learning and career development.
School of Medicine presents thesis proposals for the 2024-2025 academic year
On December 21, 2024, at the Southern Campus of the Military Medical Academy, the School of Medicine at Tan Tao University organized the thesis proposal presentation for Medical Program students from the 2019–2025 cohort for the academic year 2024–2025. The presentation was overseen by two prestigious specialized councils. The Surgery – Obstetrics and Gynecology Council included Prof. Dr. Le Van Cuong (Chair), Dr. Vu Thi Kim Chi (Obstetrics and Gynecology), and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hong (Epidemiology), among others. The Internal Medicine – Pediatrics Council was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Nguyen Vinh, with members including Prof. Dr. Le Hoang Ninh (Family Medicine and Epidemiology) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Huy Tru (Pediatrics), among others.
Renowned experts on these councils provided sharp critiques and practical suggestions, helping students refine their research topics while improving their presentation skills and building confidence in conveying research ideas. The quality of the students’ thesis proposals was highly praised by the professional councils. The students demonstrated serious dedication to their research, presenting topics with clear practical relevance and significant scientific value.
TTU Christmas Party 2024: “Santa’s Secret”
On December 23, 2024, Tan Tao University hosted a special Christmas event titled “Santa’s Secret.” Organized by the School of Humanities & Liberal Arts in collaboration with the Music & Art Club, the event aimed to create a joyful and warm atmosphere for TTU students and TTS pupils. It was an occasion for everyone to immerse themselves in the festive spirit, share memorable moments, and strengthen bonds within the academic community.
The “Santa’s Secret” program featured a variety of engaging and creative activities. Artistic performances, including impressive music and dance acts with a Christmas theme, were key highlights of the event. Interactive games and theatrical skits added a lively and dynamic touch to the celebration, further elevating the festive mood.
This event provided a platform for young talents at the university to showcase their abilities and passion for the arts. More than just a festive gathering, “Santa’s Secret” brought joy and served as a meaningful gift, helping students relax and unwind before the upcoming final exams.
Preliminary survey for Institutional and Undergraduate program accreditation
On December 24, 2024, external evaluation teams for institutional accreditation and three undergraduate programs—Business Administration, Computer Science, and English Studies—organized by the Saigon Center for Education Accreditation (CEA) conducted a preliminary survey at Tan Tao University.
The program was attended by representatives from the Saigon CEA, including Dr. Duong Mong Ha, Director of the Center, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Hanh Nga, Permanent Deputy Director. The institutional evaluation team included Prof. Dr. Sci. Dang Ung Van, Head of the Team, and Dr. Le Hoang Vu, Secretary. The program evaluation team included Prof. Dr. Tran Van Nam, Head of the Team, and MSc. Le Nhu Dzi, Permanent Member. On behalf of Tan Tao University, the working session was attended by Dr. Nguyen Mai Lam, Acting Provost, along with representatives from various functional units.
The program featured key activities such as reviewing documentation, inspecting facilities, and engaging in discussions to finalize plans for the official accreditation survey. At the conclusion of the preliminary survey, representatives from the evaluation teams and Tan Tao University signed a memorandum documenting the results of the session. The memorandum highlighted the outcomes of the preliminary survey and provided recommendations for the university to address and improve related conditions, ensuring optimal preparation for the upcoming official survey.
