Tan Tao University (TTU) recently welcomed a delegation from the Central Health Protection Department of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic for a visit and working session. The visit contributes to strengthening cooperative relations in the field of healthcare human resource training, while also opening up numerous opportunities for connection between the two institutions in the time ahead, aiming toward the goal of improving training quality and community healthcare.
Touring the training facilities and modern practice system
As part of the visit, the delegation toured the Tan Tao University campus, learning about the system of lecture halls, the pre-clinical simulation room, practice rooms, and Tan Tao University Hospital – where students in the Health Sciences disciplines study, practice, and hone their professional skills in a real-world setting.
The delegation also had the opportunity to learn about the University’s training model, which is oriented toward closely combining theoretical knowledge with practice. The modern physical infrastructure system, together with a comprehensively invested learning environment, serves as the foundation that helps students develop professional competency, career skills, and the ability to adapt to the practical demands of the healthcare field.
Throughout the tour, the delegation highly praised the physical infrastructure system, the practice-oriented training model, and Tan Tao University’s direction for developing a high-quality healthcare workforce.
Discussing directions for cooperation in healthcare workforce training
At the working session, the two sides discussed directions for cooperation in the field of training, developing healthcare human resources, and strengthening connections between training institutions and healthcare units in Vietnam and Laos.
The discussions focused on promoting closer alignment between training activities and practical needs, with the aim of building a professionally qualified healthcare workforce capable of meeting healthcare demands in the context of integration and development. This also serves as a basis for both sides to continue exploring suitable cooperation opportunities going forward.
This is regarded as an important foundation for promoting future cooperative activities, contributing to improved training quality and expanding learning and professional exchange opportunities for staff and students of both countries.
Presenting scholarships to Lao students, strengthening Vietnam–Laos friendship
On this occasion, Tan Tao University presented scholarships to Lao students, demonstrating its concern for and desire to accompany the friendly nation in training doctors and high-quality healthcare personnel.
