TTU Joins Hands to Build Homes for Disadvantaged Families

Representing Tan Tao University at the groundbreaking ceremony and directly presenting the financial support was Dr. Ngo Quang Vinh, Vice Rector and Editor-in-Chief of the Tan Tao University Journal of Science. The initiative was carried out in coordination with Dan Tri Newspaper and the People’s Committee of Long Huu Commune, reflecting the participating organizations’ shared commitment to improving the lives of disadvantaged residents in the local community.

The two households receiving support are facing significant hardships. Their old houses have severely deteriorated, posing risks of leaks and collapse during rainy and windy weather. However, their financial circumstances do not allow them to rebuild their homes independently.

Among the beneficiaries is Ms. Le Thi Buon, 70, who lives in Dong Hamlet. Due to her advanced age and frequent illnesses, she relies primarily on shelling cashew nuts for hire, earning approximately VND 25,000–30,000 per day. The other beneficiary is Mr. Huynh Van Kiet, 62, from Hau Loc Hamlet, who sells lottery tickets on the streets every day to cover living expenses and support his daughter and newborn grandchild.
