On the morning of October 27, on the occasion of its 50th anniversary, Ho Chi Minh City Book Distribution Corporation (FAHASA) was honored to receive the Government’s Emulation Flag and the Third-Class Labor Order. As part of this significant event, FAHASA officially signed a strategic partnership agreement with Tan Tao University (TTU), creating opportunities to strengthen connections between the two organizations and pursue meaningful contributions to education and the dissemination of knowledge.
TTU and FAHASA Connect Knowledge Resources and Expand Opportunities for Academic Development
Established in 1976, FAHASA is one of Vietnam’s long-standing brands in the book distribution industry. Over 50 years of establishment and development, the company has built an extensive network of bookstores, offering a diverse range of Vietnamese-language and foreign-language books, as well as cultural and educational products. Through these efforts, FAHASA has contributed to disseminating knowledge and fostering a reading culture within the community.
Through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), TTU and FAHASA aim to establish a sustainable partnership in which the University’s strengths in education and training complement FAHASA’s experience in book distribution. Under the agreement, the two parties will collaborate on training activities, seminars, and professional development; strengthen the supply of books, textbooks, and learning materials; support foreign language teaching and learning; and expand access to educational resources. Joint communication activities and events will also form part of the partnership, allowing both organizations to leverage their respective strengths, contribute to improving educational quality, and promote a reading culture. This collaboration not only lays the foundation for future joint initiatives but also aims to foster an academically enriching learning environment where knowledge is continuously developed, updated, and applied in practice.
To help realize the partnership’s objectives, FAHASA has sponsored a foreign-language book collection worth VND 50 million for Tan Tao University, supplementing foreign-language resources for teaching, learning, and research. The collection provides faculty members and students with opportunities to access international publications, update their specialized knowledge, and enhance their foreign language proficiency. Beyond its practical value as a learning resource, the collection also encourages independent learning, proactive research, and the development of a reading culture within the University’s academic community.
In addition, FAHASA will serve as a sponsor of the 2026 SVAL 2 International Conference, themed “Reimagining Foreign Language Education and Research in the New Era,” scheduled to take place on November 14, 2026, at Tan Tao University. This support will contribute to professional and research exchanges while strengthening connections between the business community and the University’s academic programs.
Expanding the Partnership Ecosystem to Enhance Educational Quality
As part of its development strategy, Tan Tao University continuously expands partnerships with businesses and organizations to strengthen resources, promote scientific research, and improve the quality of education and training. The partnership with FAHASA represents a practical step toward achieving these goals, connecting knowledge resources with the educational environment and expanding learning and professional development opportunities for faculty members and students.
