Tan Tao University and the Consulate General of Korea lay the foundation for cooperation
On July 21, 2026, Tan Tao University (TTU) held a meeting and working session with the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Ho Chi Minh City. Attending the working session on behalf of TTU were Dr. Ngo Quang Vinh – Vice President, Dr. Dang Thanh Nhon – Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, and Dr. To Minh Tung – Head of the Korean Language Department.
Representing the Consulate General of Korea in Ho Chi Minh City were His Excellency Jung Jung Tae – Consul General of Korea, and Ms. Choi Kyeong Joo – Consul in charge of Culture and Education.
In an open and friendly atmosphere, the two sides discussed development directions, training strengths, as well as areas of cooperation in education, cultural exchange, business connections, and human resource development. The exchanges at the working session serve as an important foundation for the two sides to gradually implement practical cooperation programs in the time ahead

Developing training aligned with international integration and business needs
As a non-profit private university, Tan Tao University remains steadfast in its mission of training high-quality human resources to meet the needs of society and businesses in the era of integration.
In addition to its application-oriented training programs, TTU also has a business ecosystem at Tan Duc Industrial Park and Tan Tao Industrial Park, creating conditions for students to study in connection with real-world practice, take part in internships, and accumulate professional experience while still on campus. This is an advantage that helps students enhance their professional competency, working skills, and competitiveness after graduation.
The Korean Language program expands its international cooperation network
With a training approach aligned with international standards, TTU’s Korean Language program is gradually expanding its network of partners with numerous reputable universities in Korea, aiming to implement student exchange programs, academic exchange, and training cooperation.
Through cooperation programs, students have the opportunity to take part in short-term courses with credit recognition, cultural exchange, experience an international learning environment, and access research projects together with foreign partners. This is an important foundation that helps learners develop foreign language competency, professional skills, and the ability to integrate into a global working environment.
Korea’s Consul General hopes TTU will become a bridge for training high-quality human resources
At the working session, His Excellency Jung Jung Tae highly praised the development potential of the Southwestern region in the context of an increasing number of Korean businesses expanding their investment into Vietnam.
“Recently, there has been a strong shift of Korean businesses toward the southwestern region of Vietnam – an area with high development potential and abundant human resources.”
He also expressed his hopes for the development of Tan Tao University and the Korean Language program:
“We have great expectations for the strong development of Tan Tao University as well as the Korean Language program, so that it can provide society with high-quality human resources – people who are not only proficient in Korean but who can also understand the culture and sentiments of Koreans living far from home, like us.”
In addition, the Consul General affirmed that he would actively support connecting TTU with Korean businesses and universities in Korea, contributing to promoting cooperation in education, culture, and human resource development between the two countries.
Opening up many learning, internship, and employment opportunities for students
The meeting marks the starting point for the cooperative relationship between Tan Tao University and the Consulate General of Korea in Ho Chi Minh City, while also opening up many development prospects for students in the Korean Language program.
In the time ahead, TTU will continue to expand its international cooperation network, strengthening connections with Korean universities, businesses, and organizations in order to bring more learning, internship, and employment opportunities to students. This is also part of the University’s development strategy, aiming to train human resources with foreign language proficiency, cultural understanding, professional skills, and readiness to integrate, meeting the increasingly high demands of both the domestic and international labor markets.
