The field of medicine is not only a noble profession but also a journey requiring dedication and intense passion. To inspire young talent, Tan Tao University is organizing the “Nurturing Medical Talents” competition for the 2024-2025 academic year, creating an academic platform for high school students from grades 11 to 12 across the country.

The “Nurturing Medical Talents” competition is not only an intellectual arena but also a launchpad for contestants to comprehensively develop essential skills in the field of medicine. Participants have the opportunity to showcase their strengths in subjects like Math, Biology, and English, while also cultivating creative skills as they pursue their dream of becoming doctors.
The program also ignites a passion for medicine and supports students in identifying and nurturing their career aspirations. By participating in the competition, contestants have the opportunity to gain deeper insights into the field of medicine, acquire essential skills for integration into the global healthcare workforce, and shape their goals and future plans with clarity.
One of the unique features of the “Nurturing Medical Talents” competition is its integration of academic and practical elements, enabling contestants not only to deepen their knowledge in natural sciences but also to develop research and presentation skills. Through various competition rounds—including multiple-choice exams, written essays, research projects, and defending their work before a panel—the participants are encouraged to strengthen logical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills while being inspired and motivated in their passion for medicine.
In 2024, Tan Tao University is organizing the “Nurturing Medical Talents” competition for the 2024-2025 academic year, consisting of three rounds, as follows:
I. ELIGIBILITY: High school students from grades 11 to 12 studying at high schools nationwide.
II. DETAILED CONTENT
- Preliminary Round (December 2, 2024 – December 21, 2024): Contestants complete multiple-choice and written test questions (35-50 questions) and write an essay on the topic “Medicine – The Dream Within Me,” ranging from 400 to 800 words. The top 60 contestants will be selected to form 20 teams (3 contestants per team) to advance to the Semifinal Round.
- Semifinal Round (February 17, 2025 – February 28, 2025): Teams prepare and present a research project, supported by a professional advisor. The top 5 teams will advance to the Final Round.
- Final Round (March 2025): Hosted at Tan Tao University, the teams continue their research for one month and then present and defend their projects before a judging panel of leading professors from Vietnam and the United States. Results will be announced, and awards presented immediately after the Final Round.
The total prize value for the competition exceeds 150 million VND. Additionally, finalists in the Final Round will be awarded full scholarships for the Medical Program at Tan Tao University (6 years), sponsored by the university. Selection criteria for the scholarship recipients will be based on the results of the Final Round.
