With the participation of Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Lien, Specialist Level II, Deputy Head of Sub-Department of Internal Medicine at Tan Tao University’s School of Medicine; Dr. Nguyen Van Hung, Specialist Level II, Deputy Head of Sub-Department of Surgery; and Dr. Mai Quang Minh, M.Med., a graduate of the second cohort of General Medicine and Academic Officer for Internal Medicine at Tan Tao University. The seminar focuses on sharing practical experiences and study methods to help medical students quickly adapt to the specialized training environment. Additionally, the discussion will address questions about the challenges of studying and practicing medicine, helping students reduce academic pressure, improve efficiency, and achieve the best outcomes.

Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Lien, Specialist Level II, shares advice to help students overcome challenges in pursuing medicine

Speaking at the seminar, Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Lien, Specialist Level II, emphasized: “Beyond learning theory in the classroom, students should take the initiative to ask their lecturers for opportunities to participate in night shifts at hospitals. This not only deepens their understanding of clinical realities but also provides chances to learn new techniques. If you demonstrate diligence and responsibility, your lecturers may trust you to perform minor surgical procedures, allowing you to hone your diagnostic and decision-making skills.” Additionally, she shared her personal experiences on time management and maintaining a positive mindset throughout the learning journey.

As a young doctor who has overcome many challenges on his journey to achieving the dream of wearing the white coat, Dr. Mai Quang Minh, M.Med., shared: “Science and technology, along with scientific research, are continuously advancing, generating a massive amount of knowledge.
