On November 21, 2024, the research paper “Glove Changing Reduced Wound-Related Complications Following Cesarean Section in Vietnam” was published in the prestigious international journal Health Care for Women International. This is the result of a collaborative research effort between Tan Tao University and Hung Vuong Hospital.
The Health Care for Women International journal, published by Taylor & Francis, is ranked Q1 in the field of Health Professions, with an SJR index of 0.56 and an H-index of 60. This research paper not only demonstrates outstanding research capabilities but also affirms the international standing of both institutions, contributing to the enhanced reputation of Vietnamese medicine on the global stage.
The research team from Tan Tao University, led by Professor Dr. Thach Nguyen – Vice Provost and Dean of the School of Medicine, and Dr. Nguyen Thanh Dien – Head of the Department of Scientific Research and International Cooperation from Hung Vuong Hospital, which included Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Thi Diem Tuyet, Specialist Doctor II Huynh Xuan Nghiem, and others, found that glove changing can reduce complications after cesarean sections and surgical wound infections at Hung Vuong Hospital, without extending the surgical time or contributing to blood loss.
This success not only marks a significant milestone in the scientific research collaboration between Tan Tao University and Hung Vuong Hospital but also opens up new opportunities for both parties to continue their development.
