As part of the 21st AsiaCALL 2024 International Conference, themed “Empowering Educators: Integrating AI Tools to Personalize English Teaching and Learning”, held at the Industrial University of HCMC, student majoring in English at the School of Languages, Tan Tao University made a profound impression with their active participation and meaningful contributions.
This year’s conference attracted over 600 domestic and international delegates, providing a valuable platform for academic exchange in the field of English language teaching and learning. Notably, Nguyen Thi Bich Truyen, an English Language major, delivered an outstanding presentation on her research titled “Factors Affecting University Students’ Preferences for Online Tools for Vocabulary Acquisition”
Bich Truyen’s research focused on third-year students majoring in English, Information Technology, and Economics at a university in the Mekong Delta region. By employing a combination of surveys and interviews, her study identified key factors influencing students’ choices of online vocabulary learning tools and proposed solutions to enhance learning effectiveness.
This research is not only a significant academic contribution but also a step forward in improving vocabulary learning methods and optimizing English learning experiences, particularly in the context of advancing technology and artificial intelligence in education.
