American Student Delegation Visits Tan Tao University Campus

On December 2 morning, the American student delegation paid a visit to TTU to exchange and together held a seminar to share American higher education experiences at TTU campus.  It is part of the international cooperation program between TTU and U.S. universities.

The U.S. delegation was led by teachers together with 12 students from different states including Maryland, Washington DC, Washington State, Oregon, Michigan, California, Hawaii, New York, Texas, and Massachusetts.

The delegation was warmly receivedby Dr. Michael Loc Pham – Vice Provost of TTU, Mr. Jonathan Lankford from Training Department, Mr. Robert Goldberg, Lecturer of School of Humanities and Languages, Mr. Duong Hoai An, Deputy Director of Student Affairs, … and students from Tan Tao University and Tan Tao Talented High School.

After the solemn reception at Gillis hall, the Board of Trustees of TTU discussed plans to promote cooperation with the U.S. universities. American students were excited to be guided byTTU students to see beautiful TTU campus with Gillis Hall, Levy Hall, Ceramics Museum, Library, … They showed their interest via questions about the history of TTU, adoption of American liberal arts educational model in Vietnam and student life.

American students were guided byTTU students to visit Tan Tao University campus.

The delegation attended the Anatomage Table class. TTU is the only Vietnamese university and the second one in ASEAN region equipped with Anatomy Table, the most technologically advanced anatomy visualisation system.

At the end of the visit, American students participated in discussion to share educational experiences in the U.S. and Vietnam, as well as American higher education system and career orientation.

The delegation discussed about higher education experiences in the United States and Vietnam at the seminar.
