On November 21, 2024, Tan Tao University organized a seminar titled “Understanding the Accounting – Career Opportunities and Practical Experience” to provide students with in-depth insights into the accounting field, including working conditions, career opportunities, and challenges in the industry.
The seminar was led by Dr. Nguyen Vu Hieu Trung, Vice Dean of the School of Economics & Business Administration, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa, Head of Finance and Accounting at Tan Tao University. The two speakers shared practical insights and valuable lessons, equipping students with the skills, confidence, and creativity needed to succeed in the accounting profession.n.
The accounting profession is not simply about collecting, recording, and managing financial data; it also serves as an important “language” in business, as Dr. Nguyen Vu Hieu Trung stated:

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa shared insights on the wide range of career opportunities in the accounting field, with diverse positions available at both domestic and international companies. However, she also emphasized that in order to seize these opportunities, students must face several challenges, particularly the need to continually enhance their expertise and update their knowledge in the field. She affirmed that thorough preparation in both practical skills and soft skills is key to a sustainable career. Additionally, obtaining professional and international accounting certifications will be a significant advantage, helping students assert their expertise and stand out in the job market.
