On July 6, 2026, Tan Tao University (TTU) welcomed a delegation from the Sogang University Korean Language Education Center (South Korea) for a visit and working session aimed at discussing directions for cooperation in training, academic exchange, and expanding international learning opportunities for students. The working session was not only an occasion for the two sides to discuss cooperation directions in training, but also opened up numerous opportunities for academic connection, contributing to improving training quality and bringing additional learning and international exchange opportunities to TTU students.
Strengthening the cooperative relationship between Tan Tao University and Sogang University
The delegation from the Sogang University Korean Language Education Center was led by Mr. Choi Jin-gyu – Head of Department, and Mr. Kim Hyung-il – Deputy Head of Department. Receiving the delegation were Dr. Ngo Quang Vinh – Vice President of Tan Tao University, together with Dr. Dang Thanh Nhon – Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Languages, and Dr. To Minh Tung – Head of the Korean Language Department.
The working session took place in an open and friendly atmosphere. Representatives of both sides shared their development directions in the field of foreign language training, while also discussing the strengths that could be leveraged through future cooperation programs. This was also an opportunity for Tan Tao University to continue expanding its network of international partners, creating conditions for students to access quality learning programs and academic exchanges.
Discussing cooperation directions in Korean language training
At the working session, the two sides focused on discussing the expansion of exchange and student exchange programs, coordinating the development of training curricula, and exploring TTU students’ needs for learning Korean in order to build suitable cooperative activities going forward.
In addition, the delegation from Sogang University also learned about Korean language training activities at Tan Tao University, listening to presentations on the development direction of the Korean Language major as well as the University’s expectations for strengthening cooperation with reputable Korean educational institutions.
The content discussed reflected both units’ desire to work together in building a modern learning environment, creating conditions for students to enhance their foreign language competency, expand their international experience, and develop the skills necessary in the context of integration.
Sogang University presents the latest set of Korean language textbooks
One of the highlights of the working session was the presentation ceremony for the latest set of Korean language textbooks published in 2025 by the Sogang University Korean Language Education Center, given to the Korean Language Department of Tan Tao University.
The set of textbooks will serve as a valuable learning resource, supporting faculty and students in teaching, learning, and researching the Korean language. At the same time, this also serves as evidence of Sogang University’s goodwill in cooperation and its commitment to accompanying TTU in improving the quality of Korean language training.
