A statement once said by the father to his eldest daughter, Ed.D Dang Thi Hoang Yen is always a reminder of herself, and it has been profoundly applied for the talented female entrepreneur, Mme. Dang Thi Hoang Yen. She has been known as “the leading bird” in various fields, including a pioneer of building and developing industrial parks, one of the billionaires in the stock market, and the founder of Tan Tao University, where the young generations are inspired and have their passions nurtured so that they can reach out to the world.
With empty hands and pennilessness, Ed.D Dang Thi Hoang Yen has successfully built up a today’s strong economic Tan Tao Group currently owning and developing many industrial parks covering thousands of hectares and many large scale infrastructure projects over the country, which has created thousands of jobs.
Not only doing business in developing industry and real estate successfully, Ed.D Dang Thi Hoang Yen has also attached importance to education as well. In 2002, she went to the US to learn the non-profit liberal arts US-style higher education models. Thanks to this vision, she invited many world-renowned professors in the US to join her to establish Tan Tao University.
Under the leadership and companionship of the “leading bird” Ed.D Dang Thi Hoang Yen, Tan Tao University is known as one of the very few private non-profit liberal arts US-style universities. Prof. Ed.D Dang Thi Hoang Yen said Vietnam is in the process of innovation, creativity, startups, and digital transformation both in society and in industry. During the establishment of Tan Tao University, talking with the young Vietnamese, she realized that they are creative, diligent as well as good at learning, and that they do not want to restrict themselves, but aspire to reach out to the world; however, many of them cannot help but be afraid of failing to start a business.
On May 7, 2021, Prof. Ed.D Dang Thi Hoang Yen will deliver an online lecture “ Secrets to business success in the US”, sharing her own valuable experiences wit the young startups. Her lecture promises to bring the young Vietnamese a wealth of useful information and practical experiences from her business process.
