With more than 200 members including renowned scientists, researchers and professors from prestigious universities around the world, the Academic Union Oxford (AUO) was established to support and promote educational activities, development and business integration in the 21st century. The AUO annual meeting, held in Oxford since 2000, has been a place for members to meet, share their experiences and discuss major breakthroughs in society and offer mutual support among themselves.
Thanks to her dedication to the development of ASEAN and Vietnam over the past 20 years, Dr. Dang Thi Hoang Yen, a prominent member of the AUO, has been honored at the headquarters of Achievements Award in Oxford, UK. “Honorary Professor of the Academic Union Oxford” is the worthy-earned title and recognition of Madame President in the development and promotion of integration in education and business of ASEAN in general and Vietnam in particular.
In addition, Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Hoang Yen is one of the top 15 out of 2,000 outstanding professors, CEOs, economists, politicians and influencers around the world to own this title. As an Honorary Professor of the Academic Union Oxford, Madame President also has the right to attend exclusive meetings and evaluate research programs of all candidates for annual admission to the Union.
As a pioneer in developing and transforming swampy and blackish areas into the leading industrial zones and new urban cities in Vietnam, creating hundreds of thousands of jobs, leveraging income for people from 50 USD / household. in 1996 to 8,040 USD (over 8000 USD) in Long An and 12,990 USD (nearly 13,000 USD) per year in Binh Tan District, Ho Chi Minh City while Vietnam’s GDP per capita in 2019 was 2,715.00 USD (about 3,000 USD), Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Hoang Yen is widely known as Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Tan Tao Group (ITA) cum Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Tan Tao University (TTU). Today, when it comes to Tan Tao, it has become one of the leading industrial park developers in Vietnam. Currently, Tan Tao Group has 21 subsidiaries operating and developing in infrastructure, construction, energy, education, healthcare and many others.
In addition, Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Hoang Yen is also a member of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN BAC) established by decisions of the Governments of ASEAN countries. Here, Madame President has made positive contributions and recommendations to leaders of ASEAN countries to accomplish the goal of establishing the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). In addition, she is also the proponent of the establishment of the ASEAN Scholarship Program to sponsor for ASEAN students, and they will in turn contribute to the ASEAN development and integration in the future.
Therefore, during her time, Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Hoang Yen has not only been awarded prestigious awards domestically, but she has also been recognized at international conferences. Regardless of her involvement in economic or education sectors, Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Hoang Yen has always made good in everything she has done and recorded her prestigious achievements.
The road to become one of the top 15 out of 2,000 outstanding candidates to be honored the title of “Honorary Professor in Excellent Quality and Management 2020” is seen as an explicit proof and recognition of dedication and comprehensive talent of Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Hoang Yen.
