Professor – Doctor Thach Nguyen (full Vietnamese name is Nguyen Ngoc Thach), is the Vice Provost and Dean of the School of Medicine of Tan Tao University.
He is the first Vietnamese – American was elected to the Executive Committees of the American Heart Association and the American Society of Interventional Cardiology; Director of Cardiovascular Research of Methodist Hospital, Merrillville Indiana.
Professor – Doctor Thach Nguyen was elected to be Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and the Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI). In addition, he was Director of Cardiology until 2017 at Saint Mary Medical Center, Hobart, Indiana.
Professor – Doctor Thach Nguyen is currently Director of Cardiovascular Research at Methodist Hospital, Merrillville IN. He was lead editor of Management of Complex Cardiovascular Problems (fourth edition 2016 by Wiley Blackwell, NJ) Practical Handbook of Advanced Interventional Cardiology (5th edition, 2021), Evidence Based Cardiology Practice: a 21rst Century Approach (2009 by People’ Medical Publishing House, Beijing, China).
Professor – Doctor Thach Nguyen was featured in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, Who’s Who in Health Care and Medicine, 2000-2017.
He also contributed to developing the world’s interventional cardiology and helped establish Vietnam’s interventional cardiology. He is also an endless source of energy and inspiration for many generations of doctors in Vietnam and the world.
