On the morning of June 14, the delegation began a program of visits and hands-on experience at Tan Tao University and Tan Tao University Hospital, directly learning about the facility system, specialized practice rooms, learning environment, student dormitories, as well as the training model connected with clinical practice.

The program gave the delegation of trainees a comprehensive view of the internationally oriented Health Sciences training environment that TTU is implementing, while also contributing to strengthening educational connections between Vietnam and Cambodia.

Experiencing the medical training ecosystem: From lecture halls to the clinical environment

As part of the program, the delegation of Cambodian trainees had the opportunity to directly learn about the Health Sciences training system at Tan Tao University through a series of visits and hands-on experience activities.

On campus, the delegation toured the teaching spaces, library, shared study areas, dormitories, along with the comprehensively invested facility system serving students’ learning, research, and daily life. With a modern learning environment, open architecture, and harmoniously planned green spaces, TTU creates favorable conditions for learners to develop comprehensively in both professional knowledge and soft skills.

In particular, the trainees directly experienced the specialized practice room system for the Health Sciences disciplines, such as the Skill Lab, the Biochemistry room, and the Microbiology room. These are important learning spaces that help students hone their professional skills and encounter real-world scenarios from their very first years of training, realizing the “Learning combined with practice” philosophy that the University pursues.

Continuing the journey, the delegation visited Tan Tao University Hospital – the University’s clinical practice facility. There, the trainees learned about professional activities at several units such as the Pediatric Clinic, the Emergency Department, and other functional areas, while also observing the modern equipment system serving medical examination, treatment, and training.

One of the highlights of the program was the visit to the Anatomy House, where the virtual Anatomage dissection table system is applied in teaching. This modern technology helps students access anatomical knowledge in a visual, intuitive way, enhancing the effectiveness of learning and research.

Through the journey from lecture halls, to practice rooms, to the hospital environment, the delegation of Cambodian trainees had the opportunity to more clearly envision the pathway to becoming a doctor at TTU. The integrated training model – combining foundational knowledge, skills training, and early clinical exposure – is one of the standout features of the Health Sciences program at the University.

Strengthening educational connections and expanding regional cooperation

Concluding the program, the visit left many positive impressions on the delegation of Cambodian trainees. The activity not only contributed to strengthening educational exchange between Vietnam and Cambodia but also demonstrated Tan Tao University’s internationalization direction in Health Sciences training.

Through expanding connections with trainees and international partners, TTU continues to affirm its position as a higher education institution with an internationally integrated training environment, closely linking theory and practice, aiming to train high-quality healthcare human resources that meet the development needs of Vietnam and the Southeast Asian region.
