As part of the supporting plan to award full-ride scholarships for unfortunate students whose parents died due to Covid-19, for ethnic minority students and for low economic student have the will to overcome, to progress and to have aspiration to go to university. Tan Tao University (TTU) will sponsor 100 packages of full-ride scholarships with a total value of up to VND 50 billion.
Accordingly, the full-ride scholarship package is aimed at awarding to students orphaned due to the Covid 19 epidemic, ethnic minority students, and low economic students who are eligible for TTU admission in 2022. Particularly, 30 full-ride scholarships worth 150.000.000 VND per year for Faculty of Medicine, 10 full-ride scholarships worth 40.000.000 VND per year for majors compose Nursing and Medical Laboratory Techniques. 60 full-ride scholarships worth 25.000.000 VND per year (Vietnamese curriculum) or 40.000.000 VND per year (English curriculum) for faculties include English Language, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance – Banking, International Business, Business Administration and Biotechnology.
To implement this scholarship package, TTU will coordinate with the Provincial People’s Committee, Departments and branches such as Department of Education and Training, Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, with provinces and Youth Unions across the country with the ambition to bring information closer to high school students. Noticeably, TTU desire to base a transparency in candidate selection, deliver motivation and create conditions for them to study in terms of the liberal education model of the United States. In addition, a serial programs for startup orientation, future orientation, social practical skills workshops, “I am a global citizen” contest, and free English test preparation classes organizing activities will be widely deployed by TTU to students in Long An province and entire Vietnam.
On the morning of February 19, 2022, the Board of Directors of TTU had a implementation signing ceremony with the Mass Mobilization Commission, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the District Youth Union, the Study Promotion Association, the Management Board of high schools in Duc Hoa District to deliver the programs to students in Duc Hoa District, Long An Province.
Inheriting the mentioned spirit, when studying at TTU, students will also master liberal arts courses included in 25 percent of the curriculum with a number of subjects such as: Critical thinking, Ancient world civilizations, Modern world history, the art of leadership and communication and the related to become a “global citizen” and make valuable contributions to society in the future. Specially, students will study with foreign professors and doctors or abroad training qualified Vietnamese lecturers.
Furthermore, high-school graduates attained Good or higher rank in both academic achievements and conduct (counted for 10th grade, 11th grade, and 1st semester of 12th grade of formal high school program) or those who graduated from equivalent programs can directly submit application to TTU via online form by the time of the enrolment period for admission opportunities.
