Undergraduate admission requirements and instructions

1. General

  • Admission area: Vietnam, Southeast Asia and the world.
  • Total admission target: 500 for all of majors. 
  • Admission method:
  • Apply for entrance exam for Reference 1 at TTU.
  • Apply for admission for Reference 2 when the admission target for Reference 1 is insufficient.

2. Admission requirements

  • High school performance requirements 

  1. GPA of grade 10, 111, 12 must be at least 8.0 or higher with no subject of less than 5.0.

  2. GPA of graduation examination must be at least 8.0 or higher with no subject of less than 5.0.

  • National Entrance Exam Requirements (not including regional encouragement point)

* For applicants applying for entrance exam for Reference 1 at TTU:

  1. Schools of Biotechnology, Business and Economics, Engineering, and Humanity: at least 4 points above the MoET cut-point; for preferential provinces: at least 2 points above MoET cut-point.

  2. School of Medicine: 21 points or higher; for preferential provinces: at least 19 points or higher

  3. Preferential provinces include: Long An, KienGiang, Binh Duong, Ha Nam, Bac Ninh, Hai Phong and Quang Nam Provinces.

* For applicants applying for admission for Reference 2:

Requirements of University Entrance Point shall be announced after having the results for reference 1.

A student is admitted to the university if he/she:

  • Meets all requirements of high school performance and national university entrance result. If the number of satisfactory applicants exceeds admission targets, TTU will prioritize to select applicants with higher university entrance exam points.  

  • Passes the interview organized by TTU

3. Guidelines for Admission procedures:

A. For direct admission applicants (without participating the national university entrance examination)

  1. Submit the application for direct admission as stipulated by the Ministry of Education & Training. Note: Tan Tao University only considers documents that satisfy all document requirements.

  2. Submit the application for scholarship and register for an interview.

After receiving full information as stipulated, Tan Tao University will schedule the interview with applicants. Admission Council of Tan Tao University will decide the list of admitted applicants and send the list to ITA Fund for the Future to consider scholarship grant as stipulated. Admission results will be notified to individual applicant.

B. For applicants applying for national university entrance exam for Reference 1 at TTU:

  1. Submit exam application documents in accordance with regulations of the Ministry of Education & Training. Note: Tan Tao University only considers documents that satisfy all document requirements.

  2. Participate in national university entrance exam at Tan Tao University.

  3. Submit the application for scholarship and register for an interview.

After receiving full information as stipulated, Tan Tao University will schedule the interview with applicants. Admission Council of Tan Tao University will decide the list of admitted applicants and send the list to ITA Fund for the Future to consider scholarship grant as stipulated. Admission results will be notified to individual applicant.

C. For applicants applying for the 2nd wish review at Tan Tao University:

  1. Submit exam application documents in accordance with regulations of the Ministry of Education & Training. Note: Tan Tao University only considers documents that satisfy document submission conditions of the University when there are still admission target.

  2. Submit the application for scholarship and register for an interview.

After receiving full information as stipulated, Tan Tao University will schedule the interview with applicants. Admission Council of Tan Tao University will decide the list of admitted applicants and send the list to ITA Fund for the Future to consider scholarship grant as stipulated. Admission results will be notified to individual applicant.
