This was a wonderful experience to attend and meet some of the most talented people of Microsoft although it only last 2 days.
On 22nd and 23rd of March 2019, we began our trip to Hanoi to attend the Microsoft Future Now 2019
Study and Experience
When we arrived in Hanoi, it was 7.30 in the evening. Because of shortage of time, Dr. Cao Tien Dung and we decided to try and eat some of the most famous cuisine of Hanoi. Then, we continued going sightseeing around Hanoi for the rest of the time.
Beside going night sightseeing, we also set time for going some of the most historical places around Hanoi. These are Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, West Lake and Presidental Palace where President Donald Trump and President Kim Jong Un met a month ago.
Then, on the next day, attending Microsoft Future Now 2019 has enlightened and showed me a much more direct route to adapt to changes in the new Industrial Revolution. The main topic of this event was all about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its applications. Microsoft did surprise me and a lot of audiences with the latest and finest technology.
These applications has been contributing to the improvement and development of society in general and individual in particular. Leaders of Microsoft has performed demos for every audience to capture and understand AI in the most intuitive and realistic way.
For instance, patient will get advices and drug prescription from a bot which has been programmed to learn all the symptoms stated in the medical record. This only takes less than 15 minutes to figure out the illness and possible solutions
Another example was what they called “Seeing AI”. This application was founded with an aim to support and help the disabled with sight problems. By using smartphones to capture pictures, the blind will know and understand the world around by the help from AI. It will technically tell the blind of what the picture is all about so that they can make the wise decision.
After that, we also attended workshops on various fields to explore and maximize the impact of AI on all aspects of social life. Moreover, we would also get acquainted with many leaders and managers of departments in large and multinational companies and corporations such as FPT Software, VietAI, Microimage, HPT, ….
At the end, we also had a chance to take picture with a young talented Korean programmer who work days and nights in developing the world. We also made friends from all around the world who are contributing to the advance of humanity. Microsoft Future Now 2019 was a valuable experience to us. We also would like to thank School of Business & Economics, School of Engineering and Tan Tao University for giving us an opportunity like this.
