In the early August 2019, 5 outstanding students of School of Economics and Business Administration officially travelled to the United States of America, to begin their 30 – day summer internship in Pennsylvania.
Getting excited with being nervous are the general feelings of student going on this summer clerkship. First time flying on a huge aircraft, coming to a place which is half of the globe, working and studying with locals all are going to create new experiences for students of TTU. Let’s explore their journey to the United States.
Our students have been through 28 hours of travelling by plane. Being able to see the sky, crossing the Pacific Ocean and enjoying Japanese food were unforgettable experiences.
Despite being exhausted after a non – stop 28 hour flying, TTU students were always energetic to participate in various activities to adapt to new environment in the United States. More specifically, in this trip, Associate Professor, Dr. Henry Webb – Vice Dean of School of Economics and Business Administration of Tan Tao University is the person who directly guides students during their time at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP).
In addition, TTU students also experienced an American-style breakfast. “Super full, super giant” were honest descriptions of the meal that they first enjoyed at Crouse’s House – one of the best restaurants in Indiana County, Pennsylvania.
In addition, in order to break the cultural gap, Dr. Henry Webb has spent a lot of his time to show TTU students around the town, to explore the unique living style in the United States.
TTU students were also warmly welcomed by faculties and staffs from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. They always loved and praise the positive and passionate attitude of students from Vietnam. In addition, TTU students have also been facilitated to have the most comfortable conditions at IUP.
