TTU Students Explore Blockchain Potential at the Workshop “Introduction to Web3 App Development”

7

On December 18, 2024, the workshop “Introduction to Web3 App Development” took place at Tan Tao University. The event provided students from the School of Information Technology with practical knowledge and skills to develop decentralized applications (dApps) on the Ancient8 Chain platform.

The workshop not only delivered technical knowledge but also opened doors for students to explore the vast potential of blockchain technology in the Web3 era.

During the workshop, students were guided through detailed steps to build dApps. From setting up the development environment using popular tools like Solidity and React, to connecting with MetaMask wallets, participants practiced essential tools for blockchain development. Importantly, students learned to integrate smart contracts and deploy applications on the main network, enabling them to apply theoretical knowledge to create functional products in a decentralized environment.

The Ancient8 Chain platform was introduced as a robust ecosystem that optimizes development processes and enhances user experience. This ecosystem inspired students to create innovative dApps that meet the growing demands in the blockchain field.

Student questions were answered by speakers during the program

Additionally, the workshop introduced the Ancient8 Builder Jam, a Web3 Hackathon organized by Ancient8 in collaboration with Kyros Ventures, ZKP Labs, and Orochi Network. This is a unique opportunity for students to turn their tech ideas into practical blockchain projects with a total prize pool of up to $400,000 USD. The competition offers not only financial rewards but also funding and mentorship from industry-leading experts. The Hackathon includes four main categories: Gaming, Consumer Applications, Creative Platforms, and Gaming Infrastructure, helping students identify their strengths in diverse areas of blockchain development.
