On August 20, 2024, at Levy Hall, Tan Tao University (TTU) held a ceremony to announce the Decision and award the Certificate of Quality Accreditation for the undergraduate Medicine program, recognized by the Saigon Center for Educational Quality Accreditation (CEA-SAIGON). This event not only reaffirms the strong reputation of TTU’s School of Medicine in medical education but also contributes positively to the development of higher education in Vietnam.
The accreditation standards for the training program evaluate multiple aspects such as the program’s objectives and outcomes, the structure, content, and teaching methods, the faculty, researchers, staff, and student support activities, as well as the facilities and equipment. With a rigorous and transparent accreditation process, the quality of TTU’s Medicine program has been comprehensively assessed.
The ceremony was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Hanh Nga, Deputy Director of CEA-SAIGON, and Dr. Le Hoang Vu, Deputy Director of CEA-SAIGON, representing the Accreditation and Quality Assessment Council. At the beginning of the program, Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Hoang Yen, also known as Prof. Maya Dangelas, Ed.D – Founding President, Chairwoman of the Board of University Council, and Provost of Tan Tao University, emphasized the importance of medical accreditation as the first step in the process of accrediting other programs and the entire university. She expressed deep gratitude to the leadership team, accreditation specialists, and the entire Tan Tao University community for their dedication, which led to this proud achievement.
By strictly adhering to legal regulations and receiving guidance from the accreditation center, TTU successfully passed rigorous evaluations and achieved this important accreditation. The President expressed her hope that, with unwavering determination and effort, TTU will accomplish the goal of university-wide accreditation, solidifying its position on Vietnam’s educational map. Furthermore, TTU will continue to develop according to the American liberal arts education model, aiming to become a leading research university in the country.
At the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Hanh Nga presented the Certificate of Quality Accreditation for the Medicine program to Dr. Nguyen Mai Lam, Vice Provost of Tan Tao University, while also extending her congratulations to the university. She expressed that this achievement serves as a motivation for Tan Tao University to continue maintaining its reputation and make breakthroughs in enhancing the quality of its programs, elevating the university’s brand to new heights. This, in turn, contributes to the development of higher education in Vietnam and meets societal needs
The accreditation and quality assessment of the Medicine program is not only a necessary step but also a core factor in helping Tan Tao University strengthen and enhance the quality of its training program.
