In November 2024, Tan Tao University successfully organized a series of medical seminars with two prominent topics: “Gen Z Choosing the Medical Field: Opportunities and Challenges” on November 2nd and “Experience for Students Studying General Medicine” on November 23rd. The events attracted great attention from high school students, university students, parents, and those passionate about the field of medicine.
On November 2, 2024, the School of Information Technology successfully held the 2024 Student Gathering and Exchange event. The event featured notable alumni such as Ho Thiện Lạc and Lê Đình Đam, who have achieved remarkable success in the field of technology, along with Phạm Ngọc Khánh – Head of the Technical Department at NAB Innovation Centre Vietnam. The practical insights shared by the speakers provided a deeper understanding of the opportunities and challenges in the current IT industry.

One of the notable events was the seminar “Preserving the Nutritional Value of Food,” held on November 7, 2024, led by Dr. Tran Thi Bich Thuy, a faculty member from the School of Medicine. This session provided useful insights into food preservation and preparation techniques to retain nutrients, while also offering advice on food pairing for disease prevention.
The School of Economics & Business Administration also continued to host practical seminars to support students in developing key skills. On November 15, 2024, the seminar “Personal Finance – Planning, Saving, and Investing,” led by MSc. Vu Van Cuong, a faculty member of the school, offered valuable information on managing personal finances. Students were introduced to a 7-step process for effective financial control, as well as the asset pyramid model, providing a solid foundation for students to build financial independence in the future.
Continuing this series of events, on November 21, 2024, the workshop “Understanding the Accounting Profession – Career Opportunities and Real-world Experience” was held, attracting a large number of students. Dr. Nguyen Vu Hieu Trung, Vice Dean of the School of Economics & Business Administration, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa, Head of the Accounting and Finance Department, shared a comprehensive view of the accounting profession, including the work environment, career prospects, and essential skills for success. These seminars have left a significant impact, helping students strengthen their knowledge, develop their personal skills, and become more confident in their academic journey.
In celebration of Vietnam Teachers’ Day on November 20, 2024, Tan Tao University organized a Table Tennis Tournament with events including men’s singles, women’s singles, and faculty-staff doubles. The tournament featured exciting matches with enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and staff.
This event not only honored the teachers but also served as a great opportunity to foster team spirit, ignite passion for sports, and strengthen connections within the university community. It contributed to enhancing the mental well-being and physical health of the university’s members, becoming a meaningful tradition at Tan Tao University every Teachers’ Day.
On the morning of November 20, 2024, Tan Tao University held a ceremony to commemorate the 42nd Anniversary of Vietnam Teachers’ Day (20/11), expressing gratitude to the teachers who have dedicated their knowledge and inspired generations of students. The event honored outstanding faculty members for their excellence in teaching and student support, while also recognizing students with high achievements in scientific research.
Additionally, activities to celebrate the occasion included a table tennis tournament for faculty, staff, and students of Tan Tao University, as well as the award ceremony for the photo contest “Green Startup – From the Cantaloupe Farm.” On this special occasion, Tan Tao University extended its deepest gratitude to all faculty, staff, and employees for their unwavering dedication to the noble cause of education and the mission of nurturing future generations.
The 2024 Long An Province Volunteer Day, Festival, and Recognition of Outstanding Volunteer Clubs, Associations, Teams, and Groups was held at Tan Tao University, attracting a large number of youth from across the province. During the event, several practical topics were presented, including a special session by Dr. Nguyen Mai Lam, Acting Rector of Tan Tao University, who shared effective methods for learning English in the digital age, emphasizing the importance of English for both education and careers.
Additionally, Dr. Vu Thi Kim Chi and Dr. Quach Huu Duong, lecturers from the School of Medicine, shared valuable knowledge on sexual education and reproductive health, helping young people recognize the importance of personal health protection. The event not only honored volunteer groups but also equipped Long An youth with essential skills, contributing to personal and community development.
On November 16, 2024, Dr. Vu Tri Loc, representing Tan Tao University, received the Paul Dudley White International Scholar Award at the American Heart Association Conference (AHA 2024). Under the guidance and mentorship of Prof. Dr. Thach Nguyen, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Thuong Dung, and Dr. Cao Tien Dung from the School of Information Technology, the research team successfully developed an advanced method that significantly improves the diagnosis and care of cardiovascular health.
Having outperformed many prestigious studies from leading institutions in Vietnam, the Tan Tao University research team was honored for the fourth consecutive time at AHA. This award not only affirms the position of Vietnamese medicine on the international stage but also demonstrates Tan Tao University’s commitment to advancing groundbreaking research and enhancing healthcare quality.
As part of the 21st AsiaCALL International Conference held at the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, over 600 delegates from both domestic and international backgrounds attended the event. At this conference, faculty members and students from Tan Tao University made a significant impression with their highly practical research contributions.
Dr. Dang Thanh Nhon, Dean of the School of Languages, presented a study by the research team including Nhon Dang, Tien Dung-Cao, Trung Nguyen, Long Nguyen, Dien Nguyen, and Mai-Lam Nguyen, titled “AI Acceptance Among Vietnamese University Students: Key Influencers.” The research identified the factors influencing the acceptance of Artificial Intelligence (AI), with the perceived usefulness of AI being considered the most critical factor. The study also addressed barriers to AI adoption and proposed solutions to bridge the gap between theory and practice, aiming to better leverage AI in education in line with global trends.
Additionally, Nguyen Thi Bich Truyen, an English Language major, presented her research on “Factors Affecting University Students’ Preferences for Online Tools for Vocabulary Acquisition.” This study surveyed third-year students majoring in English, Information Technology, and Economics at a university in the Mekong Delta, along with interviews to understand students’ preferences for features and key factors influencing their choice of vocabulary learning tools. The research also offered suggestions to improve vocabulary learning and optimize the overall English learning experience.
These studies not only highlighted the role of technology in modern education but also provided practical insights for optimizing learning experiences and applying scientific advancements to contemporary educational environments.
