MEDICAL CLERKSHIP at St Mary Medical Center, Hobart IN and Methodist Hospital, Merrillville IN
This year, the first clerkship at St. Mary Medical Center, Hobart IN will begin on mid-May and conclude on August 2nd, 2019. The second group will come in mid-August.
- Eligible students: 3rd year medical students
- Daily teaching rounds in medicine, critical care medicine, infectious disease, etc.
- Afternoon lecture or case presentation.
Attendance at Grand Round (once/week): interesting clinical cases or research projects
At the end of the rotation, the TTU students also have a chance to present an interesting case that they saw during the month (15 min presentation) to faculty members and other trainees. This would help them to acquire presentation skills and to learn how to research scientific literature
The TTU students will attend the Problem Based Learning at the Indiana University school of Medicine.

INTERNATIONAL Human Cadaver Prosection Program at the Indiana University School of Medicine-Northwest-Gary (Indiana, USA). From May 22 to August 2nd 2019 (please see attached flyer)

HEMATOLOGY CLERKSHIP at Memorial Hermann, Houston
Eligible students: 4th year medical students
Four students (in 2 groups) will do clerkship in the department of hematology at the Memorial Hermann Medical Center, the University of Texas in Houston Texas.
Program for TTU students
- Daily teaching conferences (1 to 2 a day), most on general pathology, some specifically for hematology/hematopathology
- Attendance at Grand Round (once/week): interesting clinical cases or research projects
- Attendance at Hematology/Hematopathology Tumor Board (once/week) to discuss ongoing leukemia/lymphoma cases
- Daily work in Hematology/Coagulation Laboratory to sign out cases.
- The TTU students will be expected to work alongside with faculty to write up clinical reports which will be reviewed and verified by supervising faculty. They are also expected to learn how to use most up-to-date technology in diagnostic hematology.
- At the end of the rotation, the TTU students also have a chance to present an interesting case that they saw during the month (15 min presentation) to faculty members and other trainees. This would help them to acquire presentation skills and to learn how to research scientific literature

EMERGENCY MEDICINE CLERKSHIP at the Department of Emergency Medicine Program in Trauma, R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center University of Maryland School of Medicine Baltimore

Two TTU students for this emergency medicine program on the month of June 2019

Four students will do clerkship at Yonsei University, Seoul Korea.
